This position and candidate should have the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an understandable and concise format. If you are a problem solver who enjoys working in a challenging and positive environment, this may be the Desktop Support Technician position for you. This Desktop Support Analyst role is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity based in the Madison, Wisconsin, area.
Major responsibilities
- Meet regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
- Supply computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Support records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
- Offer your support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
- Fix computer problems, and recommend appropriate action/solutions
- Keep up, explore, and fix computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals
- Arrange hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
Requirements
- Experience writing procedure manuals, user instructions, business correspondence, and general report writing
- Desktop support or related experience
- Foundational knowledge in Break Fix
- Command of Active Directory
- Experience with Desktop Imaging
- Adeptness in Ticketing System
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office 365
- Deep understanding of MS Windows 10
