Perform routine analysis of samples
Inoculate samples
Utilize different types of media and dilutions
Testing for pathogens (like E.coli, Salmonella, Listeria)
Plating- yeast, mold, total plate count (lower dilutions)
Also have a Probiotics lab they could get trained in, in the future which will include enumerations of probiotic samples, dilution testing, spread/pour plate methods, and flow cytometry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in the Life Sciences (Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry or etc)
0-1+ years experience in a production/manufacturing or food service position
PCR and ELISA testing experience is a plus!
Ability to use a variety of styles of pipettes and micropipettes, specifically multi-channel electronic pipettes
