In partnership across Marketing, R&D, business development and cross-functional leadership, this role will manage the annual strategic planning framework and organization of key initiatives, including global market modeling (Factbase) and strategic research programs that drive marketing strategy.Who we want:

What you will do:
Managing suppliers, research execution, and adhering to interim or final deadlines
Coaches others to effectively use and interpret qualitative and quantitative research
Utilizes market research and third-party data to identify key industry trends
Continually monitors market trends and mentors others on sources of volume and strategic focus
Establishes metrics and evaluates whether marketing objectives have been effective in driving brand equity
Works with business partners to uncover underlying business needs and scopes requests into high-value learning opportunities for the company
Anticipates operational challenges of data collection and integration into decision-making
Identifies broad themes or learning gaps for future research, based on the organization's accumulated knowledge
Guides decision makers through incorporation of relevant research findings and recommendations into decisions
Works with business partners to synthesize the organization's current accumulated knowledge set and identifies gaps that need to be filled in order to improve decision making
Develops key relationships with industry/market thought leaders, organizations, and institutions, in collaboration with other marketing leaders
Develops and manages a budget and analyzes and explains budget variances
Leads a team of professionals: develops employees, which includes hiring, communicating company policies, coaching and counseling, administering performance appraisals, and enforcing company policies through appropriate disciplinary measures
Holds team accountable to deliver high quality results with passion, energy, and drive to meet business priorities
Mentors, develops and influences across the business, intentionally building cross-divisional relationships
Trains others on the components of the Stryker marketing strategy framework and how they fit into strategy and marketing plans
What you need:
Bachelor's degree required
8+ years of work experience required
Preferred Qualifications (Strongly desired):
MBA preferred
5+ years of market research experience preferred
2+ years of people management experience preferred
Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines
Ability to be persuasive in the absence of organizational authority
Must be able to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
The ideal candidate would be commutable to Portage, MI and this individual would be expected to be onsite once a month.$98,000- $210,100 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.About StrykerOur benefits:
