Description We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Network Administrator to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. In this role, you will support external customers with their networking needs, with a focus on Cisco firewalls (FMC), routing, wireless, and switching. You will primarily be dedicated to supporting one major client, while managing smaller clients as well. This is an exciting opportunity to grow into managing a complex multi-location Cisco network and becoming a subject matter expert (SME) in key technologies.Typical Day/Week:

Assisting external customers with their networking needs

Supporting Cisco firewalls (FMC), routing, wireless, and switching

Acting as a dedicated point of contact for a major client, ensuring top-tier service and support

Managing various smaller clients and potentially traveling to clients in Southern Wisconsin

Opportunity to eventually manage a complex multi-location Cisco network

Client Size of Environment:

Ranges from 15-user networks to multi-site, large enterprise networks.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide hands-on networking support including Cisco firewalls (FMC), routing, wireless, and switching

Engage with customers, offering technical support and ensuring a seamless experience

Become the SME for several networking tools and services, including:

Cisco Email Security

Cisco Umbrella

Cisco DUO

Microsoft Phishing

Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)

Assist with the initial implementation and management of ISE

Requirements:

Proven experience in network administration, particularly with Cisco technologies

Familiarity with supporting and managing large, complex network environments

Strong customer service skills with the ability to work closely with clients

Ability to travel occasionally to client sites within Southern Wisconsin

Requirements Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Network Administrator role or similar

Proficient in managing and configuring Cisco Routers Strong understanding and working knowledge of Cisco Technologies Familiarity with Firewall Technologies and their implementation Able to handle and manage Cisco Access Points Knowledge of Phishing prevention and intervention strategies Experience with FMC (Firepower Management Center) Competency in using Cisco Identity Services Engine Proficient in managing Cisco Wireless Networks Ability to handle and configure network switches Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
