Opportunity for Women in a Behavior Study ($150) (6001 Research Park Blvd)

Vacancy expired!

The Neurocircuitry of Trauma and PTSD (NeuroTaP) lab is looking for women to participate in a psychological research study. This study investigates the use of fMRI neurofeedback among women with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and compares brain function between women with and without PTSD. Research indicates that women are twice as likely to develop PTSD, experience a longer duration of posttraumatic symptoms, and display more sensitivity to stimuli that remind them of the trauma. NeuroTaP believes that studying the biological and behavioral mechanisms of mental health will improve prevention and treatment of disorders.

We are looking for adult women between the ages of 21 and 50 who have not experienced trauma to participate in this research study. The study takes place at the HealthEmotions Research Institute, and involves two visits. The study involves questionnaires and physiological measurements. Participants are eligible if they do not have internal metal or mental health problems. You will receive between $60 and $150 for participating.

Please email us at cislerlab@psychiatry.wisc.edu if interested.
