The Program Manager focuses on the overall success of the program, ensuring that all individual projects are well-coordinated and contribute to the larger objectives.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
Program Leadership: Oversee the entire product launch program, ensuring coordination of multiple cross-functional projects (marketing, regulatory, medical, supply chain, sales) to deliver on strategic goals.
Strategic Alignment: Ensure the program’s objectives align with broader corporate goals, managing stakeholder expectations and providing regular updates to senior leadership.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Facilitate collaboration between functional leaders to ensure resource prioritization and timely decision-making.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact the launch timeline or program success.
Program Governance: Establish governance frameworks to ensure consistent reporting, decision-making, and project execution across all workstreams.
Resource Allocation: Work with department heads to ensure the necessary resources are allocated across projects and that there is sufficient prioritization.
Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the overall program, ensuring all projects are on track and meet launch milestones.
Stakeholder Management: Communicate program status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability across the organization.
Key Capabilities:
Ability to understand strategy for segment and multiple key initiatives ensuring alignment with organizational goals
Execution focus to ensure that all aspects of the multiple projects are executed to the plan
Risk management skills to identify potential risks across projects, prioritize and develop mitigation and communication plans to handle risk
Leadership for a group of project managers to lead team members toward a commongoals
Resource optimization to ensure people, dollars and time are allocated optimally across the organization
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Science or a related field, PMP or similar certification preferred
8+ years of project management, preferable in med tech, life science or pharma launches
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical markets, including regulatory and market access environments.
Strong organizational skills and experience managing across functions
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
Excellent problem-solving skills
