The Rehab Service Coordinators (RSC) facilitates the functioning of the outpatient rehab clinic in a variety of supportive functions. Daily responsibilities are divided into the following on an alternating schedule.

A role: Administrative and clerical support – scheduling patients for initial consults, preparing patient charts, reviewing therapy orders for accuracy, and monitoring spreadsheets for billing compliance needs.

B role: Front desk reception, patient registration/check-in processes. Over the counter sales and payment collection. Organizing, cleaning and prep of patient care areas, and supply ordering.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work within the context of patient-centered care in an outpatient clinic setting.

Work collaboratively with the clinical team to support exceptional patient experience and outcomes.

Embrace lifelong learning: willingly receive feedback and learn from team members, seek continual learning opportunities, and share feedback to promote the growth of the team.

Engage in staff meetings and project groups to support exceptional patient care.

Remain up to date with clinic operation changes and workflows (review meeting minutes, review email communications, etc.)

Demonstrate a willingness to be flexible and to take on additional responsibilities to support the team and process improvement initiatives within the department

Qualifications Include:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Epic Cadence scheduling

One or more years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in an outpatient medical setting.

Knowledge of general MS office systems including Outlook, Word and Excel

Ability to multitask with frequent interruptions

Exceptional attention to detail

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

Knowledge of insurance – obtaining benefits, submitting authorizations, etc.

Knowledge of registration process

Knowledge of medical terminology
