Description Job Title: Systems AdministratorThis position is hybrid onsite in Madison, WI and Direct Hire (No C2C).Position Overview:Robert Half seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Administrator to join our partner's IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and maintaining enterprise-level systems, with expertise in VMware, Windows Server, Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Cisco networking technologies, and more. The Systems Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the IT infrastructure.Responsibilities:VMware Administration:
Manage and maintain VMware virtualized environments.
Perform regular updates, patches, and system optimizations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualization.
Windows Server Management:
Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems.
Monitor server performance and implement necessary optimizations.
Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, and related services.
Office 365 Administration:
Administer and support Office 365 applications and services.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Collaborate with end-users to troubleshoot and resolve Office 365-related issues.
Microsoft Azure Integration:
Design, deploy, and manage resources in Microsoft Azure.
Implement and monitor Azure-based solutions.
Ensure the security and compliance of Azure environments.
Cisco Networking:
Configure and maintain Cisco networking equipment.
Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and connectivity.
Implement security measures to safeguard the network infrastructure.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience as a Systems Administrator with a focus on VMware, Windows Server, Office 365, Microsoft Azure, and Cisco networking.
Strong understanding of IT security best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).
Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and hybrid cloud environments.
Industry certifications such as MCSE, VCP, CCNA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
