Capitol Lakes, a continuing-care retirement community in the heart of downtown Madison, has an opening for a full-time Admission Nurse on 2nd shift (11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.) The Admission Nurse is responsible for assuring new residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility have a seamless, coordinated and customer service oriented admission completed according to Nursing Standards of Practice. The Admission Nurse will also assist in maintaining a physical, social, and psychological environment, which will be conducive to the best interest and welfare of the patients.Set up and pass medications as needed, observing the rights of medication administration.Maintain working knowledge of patient conditions at all times.Review 24 hour reports and other pertinent nursing documentation from previous shifts.Supervise the work of Certified Medication Aides and Certified Nursing Aides.Maintain accurate and complete records of nursing observations and care.Provide nursing care in accordance with physician orders and appropriate nursing techniques/procedures.Recognize and interpret symptoms/change of condition and report patient's condition accurately.Notify RCM, DNS, PCP and/or Administration of changes in patient condition or other job related issues.Other duties as assigned.Valid state Registered Nurse license.Experience as an RN in a SNF/Sub-Acute Rehab setting preferred but not required.Must possess a current valid Oregon Driver's License and be insurable by PRS's insurance carrier.Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a team.Benefits: Capitol Lakes? employees benefit from our team atmosphere and comfortable work environment in addition to other benefit offerings designed to help our employees and their families maintain a comfortable lifestyle.
