Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Multi Specialty department on a Part basis.
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible for providing supportive patient care in a medical office setting under the direction of a physician in accordance with policies and procedures of the practice. This includes answering phone calls, and emails, collecting and recording patient information, and vital signs, assisting physicians with patient examinations and procedures, giving injections or medications as directed by physicians, entering patient information into medical records, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing instruments in accordance with practice policies. Ensure rooms are stocked and prepared each day according to the work schedule. Takes inventory of medical and exam room supplies.
Essential Functions:
Assumes direct patient care responsibilities as assigned by the authorized healthcare provider
Assists with exams or procedures
Performs support duties to assist in the smooth operation of the clinic
Position Requirements:
Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program
Requires previous experience in a healthcare setting. Prefer prior experience in a clinical setting
Licensed as a Certified Medical Assistant
Current BLS certification
Computer Competency: Basic computer competency skills are expected including knowledge of and working with electronic health records
Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills
Work Shift:
Part-Time, .6 FTE
24 hours per week
Work Schedule: Monday - Tuesday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, and alternating Wednesdays and Thursdays 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
No Weekends or Holidays
