Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Multi-Specialty Clinic team on a Part-Time basis in our Urology Clinic.

The CNA or CMA provides supportive patient care in a medical office under the direction of a Physician or Advanced Practice Provider (APP), and in collaboration with the clinic Charge RN, following practice policies and procedures. Responsibilities include answering calls and emails, collecting and recording patient information and vital signs, assisting with exams and procedures, administering injections or medications as directed, and entering data into medical records. Additional duties include cleaning, sterilizing, and storing instruments, stocking rooms, and taking inventory of medical supplies.

CNA candidates will be given the opportunity to undergo training to become a CMA through a Stoughton Health sponsored program within 1 year of employment.

This position may require travel between our Specialty Clinic sites in Madison, WI and Stoughton, WI.

Essential Functions:

Assumes direct patient care responsibilities as assigned by the authorized healthcare provider

Performs surgical coordination duties under the direction of the providers

Assists with exams or procedures

Performs support duties to assist in the smooth operation of the clinic

Process all requests for release of information in accordance with state and federal laws as well as hospital policy

Position Requirements:

Required Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent. Completion of an accredited Clinic Nurse Assistant Program.

Preferred Education: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.

Requires previous experience in a healthcare setting. Prefer prior experience in a clinical setting. Prefer experience with EPIC EMR.

Trained in CO-CPR or Current BLS certification

Computer Competency: Advanced knowledge of working with electronic health records required

Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Intermediate Skills – Able to perform fairly detailed formatting, create Word and Excel files, write formulas, and prepare applicable charts for reports

Work Shift:

Part-Time, .6 FTE

24 hours per week

Work Days: Tuesday – Friday

Scheduled Shift: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
