I am looking for an Independent Living Assistant to work 10-25 hrs per week.
I am looking for someone to support some or all of the following:
- Prepare and clean up afterwards.
- Support with writing projects. Examples include: editing scholarship applications, speeches, helping with writing, etc.
- Accompany me for other activities at home and out in the community. Some examples are: seeing shows or performances, going to museums, riding my tricycle, etc.
- Wash, dry, and fold laundry.
- Drive for errands such as shopping for groceries, clothes etc.
- Car and driver’s license is highly preferred.
I live independently on the south side of Madison and I am supported through a medicare program called IRIS. This program is designed to allow disabled adults to live a full independent life. IRIS pays for personal care workers to provide supportive care in the home and community.
This position would be funded through IRIS. The approval process would take approximately one month and would require a criminal background check. The hourly pay for this position is $15.75.
