Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Services team in a Weekender position.
The registered nurse position is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in assigned units. The RN maintains accountability for their own practice and delegates/provides direction to other nursing personnel in the unit in accordance with their level of experience and expertise.
Essential Functions:
Ability to perform essential functions of a Registered Nurse including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, and evaluation
Effectively enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices
Maintains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practices
Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues
Collaborates with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practice
Integrates research findings into clinical practice
Position Requirements:
Required: Associate’s Degree in Nursing
Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Currently licensed by the Board of Licensing and Regulation in the State of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse in good standing
Required Certification: Current BLS certification at hire, ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale certification within 90 days of hire, PALS certification within 6 months, ENPC and TNCC certification preferred
Non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training every two years on a rolling calendar
Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position. Access email, reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements.
Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills – Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.
Work Shift:
Full-Time, .9 FTE
24 hours per week
Scheduled Days: Saturday & Sunday
Scheduled Shift: 11:00 am – 11:00 pm
Work 24 hours but get paid for 36 hours
