Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Registrar/Scheduler to join our team on a Full-Time basis in our Multi-Specialty Clinics.

The clinic scheduler is responsible for welcoming visitors and patients to the clinic and obtaining necessary information from them before they see the provider. Will perform reception, registration, and secretarial functions in support of the daily operations of the clinic while functioning as the primary communication source in the unit. The incumbent is responsible for all aspects of front office duties including reception, answering the phone, patient scheduling, registration, work queues referrals, reviewing Mychart and monitoring incoming and outgoing mail. Candidate will be entering insurance information, scheduling maintenance, posting payments related to patient copay, cash reconciliation/balancing related to copay. In addition, candidate will review Ortho PatientPop website and contact, schedule, and follow up with patients. The combination of these functions will be determined by the manager to meet the needs of the clinic. This position may require travel between Specialty Clinic sites.

Essential Functions:

Schedules patient procedures in a manner that is most efficient by utilizing the clinical resources. Coordinates and communicates schedules.

Answers multi-line automated telephone system

Ensures that scheduled time, visit type, and patient information data are accurate and maintained

Review Multi-Specialty work queues to schedule patients and improve fill rate

Evaluate office inventories and accessories by checking stock to determine availability of materials

Proficient data collection

Good communication skills

Position Requirements:

Required: High School Graduate or Equivalent

Preferred: Completion of Post High School Vocational/Specialized training

Computer Competency: Intermediate computer competency skills are expected for this position.

Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Intermediate Skills- Able to perform fairly detailed formatting, create Word and Excel files, write formulas, and prepare applicable charts for reports

Work Shift:

Full-Time, 1.0 FTE

40 hours per week

Scheduled Days: Monday - Friday

Shift: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

No Weekends or Holidays
