Mead & Hunt, a nationwide professional services consulting firm, has a rare and exciting opportunity for an HR assistant to join our fast-paced human resources department. This position involves assisting the HR business partners with a wide variety of tasks: if you like variety, you won’t be bored! You’ll work with benefits, compliance, training, recruiting, and internal communication. Responsibilities include research, data entry, drafting and proofing documents, filing, working with spreadsheets, scheduling interviews, checking references, and running reports. The ability to maintain confidentiality is absolutely essential. Occasional travel and overnight stays may be required.
The successful candidate will have an associate degree (or higher) in human resources, business administration, or related field; OR, if no degree, must have at least two years of equivalent experience in human resources.
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
ability to use discretion and independent judgment
ability to handle a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
knowledge of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
knowledge of or experience with various HR regulations and employment laws
research skills
writing skills
ability to work with a variety of personality types
