This job exists to move furniture and décor items for the three facets of our business; home staging, merchandise purchases and customers purchases
About Us
The Cozy Home is a multi-faceted business. We run two quality furniture consignment stores and operate a successful home staging and design operation. Your role will be the conduit for delivering furnishings to support these operations.
Duties and responsibilities
Collaborate with the Staging Coordinator on jobs and schedule Monday - Friday.
Load and unload company truck in a manner that is secure for transport and prevents damage/breakage of the contents.
Assemble and disassemble items when necessary to secure for transport.
Pickup/Deliver furnishings and decor between our locations…warehouse, stores and customers.
Maintain company warehouse in a tidy manner when taking or returning items, using safe stacking and nesting techniques, to optimize available space.
Committed to safe lifting techniques and use of assistive tools to minimize risk whenever possible.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management, to achieve the established goals of the company.
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
Active and clean Driver’s License
Commitment to good Customer Service.
Motivated individual interested in efficiency and using creativity to solve problems.
Jenga master.
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
Ability to do simple furniture assembly such as removing dining table legs or sofa legs.
Dependable – committed to work schedule shifts beginning to end.
Experience with moving or warehouse maintenance a plus.
Consistency within your job history.
Working conditions
This job starts around 9 in the morning and goes as long as we have work lined up. We can be somewhat flexible with this window for the right employee. Movers are responsible for loading and unloading a truck primarily. When you are not riding in the truck, you will be moving items from one place to the next, sometimes solo and most of the time, with help.
Physical requirements
This job is physically demanding. Applicants should be prepared to be moving or driving to/from destinations to move furniture and décor for the duration of their shift.
