I’m Jake, the Project Manager for Ultra Painting, one of the fastest-growing residential repaint companies in Madison. Our three current sub crews are already booked nearly a month out with interior projects in the middle of our slow season. With the amount of work we already have scheduled for spring, combined with how busy we are right now, we’re preparing to bring on 1–2 additional subcontractor partners this winter.
At Ultra Painting, we care deeply about making sure the painters who partner with us are successful within our business model. Over the years, we’ve seen our subcontractors grow significantly. Crews have expanded from 3 painters to 7, one-man operations growing to 2–3 person teams, and contractors being able to keep their schedules full year-round without chasing leads. They didn’t have to spend nights doing estimates or searching for work; instead, they focused on painting and spent more time with their families. It’s truly a win–win partnership.
