The beautiful Madison Marriott West Hotel and Conference Center is seeking an Engineer who can fulfill our engineering duties. The Marriott has 292 guest rooms and 60,000 feet of meeting space to maintain. Your duties would include (but not limited to): performing minor and routine repairs, plumbing and other related activities using hand tools. May tend furnace, air-conditioner, and boiler to provide heat, cool air and hot water for guests. Maintain equipment with standard preventative maintenance procedures and ensures the quality of appearance of interior and exterior of the hotel and to keep records on all equipment maintenance and repair. Programs phone and key equipment according to hotel standards. May check operations of guest room equipment. Corrects minor problems and reports major problems to the Chief Engineer. Ensures par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies. Inspects and repairs minor problems in common areas. Responsible for learning emergency procedures and using those procedures for the safe operation of all equipment, chemicals and lockout procedures. You would also act as the Security person if the need arises. Know how to handle disruptive guests. Reports to work on time and in proper uniform.
Requirements:
You must be able to interact with guests with a smile and a warm greeting. You would need to understand and use specifications, hands, arms and fingers. Work to precise measurements and visualize how the system will operate after repairing. Lift and move materials and products, climb and balance self. Stand and walk on feet for extended periods of time. Get along with all types of individuals.
