Ultratec engineering is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to join our growing team.Core hours of this position are Monday-Friday 1st shift, with overtime as necessary, a competitive starting wage, a full benefits package, and a casual work environment within a state-of-the-art building.Ultratec's most recent endeavor, the Captioned Telephone (CapTel), continues to demonstrate how we have revolutionized the industry with cutting edge products that transform the lives of individuals around the world.Job Description: The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for general indoor and outdoor maintenance duties and performing electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs.Essential Functions and Responsibilities: (Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time).

Possess the ability to follow directions, read from and interpret written instructionsAbility to communicate through all phases of a project for greater efficiencyPerform immediate plumbing repairs such as: flush valve and faucet replacements, and drain line auguring.Replace bulbs, pull data lines and perform light electrical diagnosticsAssist with snow and ice removal during the winter months. (It will be required to work outside of the regular scheduled shift depending on the weather elements)Operate a snow plow, Bobcat, medium size dump truck and tow up to a 12’ trailerMaintain and repair outside underground sprinklersReplace ceiling tiles and make cube furniture modifications

Ability to work in a team environment and independently at timesMaintain a professional appearance and attitudePerform general clean up as necessaryRequirements:

High school diploma/GED preferredClean and Valid Driver’s License2-3 years of experience in general maintenance is preferredAbility to operate a snow plow, Bobcat, and medium size dump truck is preferredFollow department company safety standardsExperience with electrical items is preferredGeneral knowledge of plumbing is preferredExperience with woodworking is preferredAbility to operate a 45’ aerial boom liftAbility to work on ladders up to 10’Ability to be on call as needed is requiredMust reside within 25 minutes of the building campusGood verbal skills to communicate well in a diverse team environmentGood written communication skills, including the ability to fill out daily record logs on a computer1-2 years of commercial maintenance and/or custodial experienceAbility to respond quickly and professionally in an emergencyPhysical Requirements:

Ability to stand in one area for long periods of time, with minimal breaksAbility to work in extreme weather conditionsPhysical ability to move freely and have sufficient reflexes to perform the same tasks repeatedly

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
