International Public Art Outreach Internship

CODAworx is the global online community for public artists, art commissioners and art industry resources. We showcase public art projects to help our members gain global recognition - through our web platform, and also through our CODAawards and CODAsummit programs as well. We are looking for an intern to help us research and reach out to international organizations that host calls for public artists, with the goal of convincing these organizations to sign up and post their opportunities on our free artist hiring platform called CODAcommission.

This intern will gain valuable experience by joining the CODAworx Commissioner Marketing team as we implement a marketing plan for an important new aspect of our business.

Intern’s duties:

The goal of this internship will be to increase adoption of CODAworx’ commissioner services by International Arts Organizations. To accomplish this, we are looking for an individual who will:

- Research and compile a list of viable Art Commissioning organizations on all six continents (yes, even Antarctica).

- Identify the appropriate contacts at these organizations, and reach out to them with information about CODAworx’ services for art commissioners via email and social media, with a focus on free opportunity postings.

- Share notes on a weekly basis with the CODAworx team detailing outreach progress as well as any research findings about funding sources, best practices, and major public artworks in progress abroad.

- Assist CODAworx with our goal of maintaining 100 active open public art opportunities on the CODAcommission platform by the end of 2024.

Hours: 6-8 hours per week. Hours are flexible.

Qualifications:

Should be a student currently enrolled in an accredited Art, Communications, International Studies, Business or related academic program with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Foreign language skills and/or art experience are a plus.

Paid: Yes. $15/hour.
