Tax Airfreight, Inc. has a Router/Dispatcher position available!
Full-Time with excellent benefits!
Freight experience preferred
Monday-Friday, 3:00AM - 10:30AM!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-Promotes and maintains a flexible, cooperative, positive, team-oriented and customer-focused attitude within and between departments/terminals.
-Builds and routes manifest for daily freight movements.
-Monitors and ensures proper and timely processing of hotĀ and early lock out shipments.
-Ensures specials are completed within established parameters; coordinates and informs Customer Care of all special instruction deviations.
-Ensures other Routers are aware of all special shipments and prioritizes special shipments within routes.
-Assists Customer Care in resolving problems and concerns.
-Enters and creates manifests.
-Enters air bills in PC system, as required.
-Sets up and maintains files, records, data bases, and back up paperwork as requires within areas of responsibility.
-Promotes and helps to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
-Informs Supervisor of pertinent issues and information warranting his/her knowledge, action and/or resolution.
-Other duties as required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
-Experience in transportation industry preferred.
-Solid understanding and application of HazMat regulations and requirements.
-Excellent spatial/geographic location skills and knowledge of cities, directions, distances, and routes needed for efficient dispatching. Proficient map reading skills.
-Ability to work positively and effectively in a fast-paced, varied, demanding and stressful environment.
-Excellent attention-to-detail with strong organization and follow-up skills.
-Ability to think quickly and make decisions impacting Company-wide operations.
-Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
-Proficient PC skills with related software application experience.
