The Role: The Vendor Relations Manager (YOU?!) will have responsibility for overseeing the entire vendor lifecycle. You will work closely with our Sales, Technical, Admin, and Marketing teams to create new relationships and grow current relationships with strategically important vendors. It would be your job to successfully manage positive relationships with current vendors and onboard new vendors. You are a strategic thinker able to create a marketing vision and bring it to life. You are a people person but also enjoy the operational task of managing all aspects of Vendors. This is a new role that you would be helping to define and create.
Vendor Relations
Develop relationships with vendors and distribution partners
Support and maintain a framework for interactions between the vendor and AE
Main point of contact for our Vendor and Channel managers
Coordinate quarterly meetings with Distribution partners
Proactively communicate pricing and product changes to internal teams
Vendor Administration
Responsible for tracking rebates from Vendor and Distribution partners
Responsible for maintaining Vendor CRM database
Responsible for vendor reporting requirements
Work with the sales and technical teams to ensure complete and current vendor certifications
Work with internal quoting and accounting teams to ensure pricing accuracy
Work with internal teams to track and maintain renewal information
Work with Operations to ensure contract compliance
Event Planning
Plan and coordinate internal events such as training sessions, workshops, Vendor QBRs, etc.
Plan and coordinate external EBCs with Client, Vendor and AE
Work with Sales and Marketing teams to provide internal and external content for sales campaigns, webinars, and informational sessions, etc.
Internal Vendor related activities
Partner with internal Sales, Marketing and Technical teams to:
Create GTM playbooks and maintain content
Coordinate blog content
Create and maintain AE Vendor collateral
Participate in the short and long-term planning process to maintain success
What You'll Need:
To be an upbeat team-player, with a history of successfully driving value in vendor relationships, proven analytical capability, and project management abilities with utmost attention to detail
Background in sales
Experience in strategic marketing planning
Ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders to build long-term relationships
Ability to identify the problems and find creative solutions.
Great at negotiate costs, terms, and conditions related to products
Strong knowledge of the IT vendor landscape, to include industry standards
Basic understanding of the technology or services delivered by a vendor
Ability to manage many projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
