Yoga Therapist- Certified Yoga Instructor
Qualifications: Prefer a minimum combination of 1000 hours and up to 3 years experience teaching yoga in group and individual settings. Preferably candidate will have experience in clinical and / or mental health settings. In training candidates encouraged to apply as well.
Prefer you have certification and experience in trauma informed settings working with mental health and community based care
Knowledge of beginner level yoga therapy tailored to be inclusive and accessible
Strong verbal communication and team player
Ability to tailor sessions to a diverse client population to fit client needs and limitations
Commitment to professional ethics and safety
Responsibilities:
Make sessions accessible for all CCS and community clients. Interest in leading both yoga groups and individual sessions.
Work with Program Director to create, promote, conduct and facilitate a collaborative therapeutic yoga program
Guide clients through gentle mindful movement, breathing, relaxation and meditation
Modify poses and exercises to accommodate patients' physical limitations
Employ trauma-informed teaching approaches sensitive to client needs
Collaborate with WCTAC staff to coordinate session schedules and client needs
Maintain up-to-date certifications and knowledge of yoga therapy practices

Requirements: - Conduct 10-15 1:1 individual yoga therapy sessions per week for CCS and community clients at WCTAC.
- Client centered approach tailored to needs of diverse client populations, incorporating gentle movement, breathing, relaxation, and meditation techniques - Make sessions accessible for patients with physical and cognitive limitations
- Have certification as a yoga therapist from a 200-hour Registered Yoga School (RYS) training program
