The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining Prime Urban Properties’ portfolio with a focus on balancing efficiency, quality workmanship, and cost savings while helping to further the goal of exceeding the industry’s apartment and office building maintenance standards.
Essential Functions
Follow Prime Urban Properties standards and procedures.
Perform preventative, routine, and incidental maintenance functions including, but not limited to, general construction repairs, plumbing, electrical, and appliances and mechanicals.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair emergency issues in a timely and professional manner.
Complete apartment turnover procedures.
Provide exceptional and friendly customer service to tenants daily.
Communicate with Property Managers and other office staff regarding the completion of work orders and any additional assistance that is needed to complete tasks.
Operate and maintain necessary equipment and tools.
Maintain shop and all work areas in a neat, organized, and clean manner.
Provide maintenance assistance and support to other team members.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and/or property As-builts.
Comply with all regulations and applicable laws regarding housing, health, safety, and environment including, but not limited to OSHA and Fair Housing.
Qualifications and Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license
Experience as a maintenance technician for multi-family properties preferred.
Commitment to excellent customer service and communication skills.
Physically capable and able to work overtime including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Able to use good judgment and work with minimum supervision.
Approach responsibilities with a team player mentality and positive attitude.
Experience with mobile timekeeping, work order and mail applications.
Maintain a well-groomed appearance.
