About the roleKerry Inc. seeks RD&A Principal Scientist and Manager at its facility located at 4343 Expo Dr., Manitowoc, Wisconsin 54220. Key responsibilitiesResponsible for determining market viable product from raw product stream and determine the most efficient way to commercialize or develop a process for extracting and creating them. Leverage advanced knowledge of separation techniques including but not limited to distillation, resin extraction, liquid-liquid extraction, and solid-liquid extraction. Required to scale up advanced processes using separation techniques at a pilot and plant level. Responsible for troubleshooting and improving existing processes. Required to utilize advanced knowledge of flavor chemistry and separation. Will be responsible for identifying processing needs and feasibility of extracting flavor compounds, or groups of flavor compounds. Basic knowledge of culinary and application techniques and maillard reaction, specifically browning and flavor creation. Assist in developing flavor maps and applications for extracts. Streamline current extraction and pyrolysis products with the goal of increasing profitability. Develop methodologies that improve analytical analysis on both traditional and condensed. Develop processes and extractions that better match traditional smoke profile. Develop processes and extractions that enhance the extraction of browning components. Work with Quality Assurance team to get base analysis of competitor and developmental products. Provide matches for traditional smoke conversions. Create/present an NPD brief for any new project, this will include a one-page summary along with best uses of the product. Understand smoke and grill lexicon technology and have the ability to describe smokes and grills in this manner.
