This role is responsible for handling the entire delivery process of all products (finished goods, small parcels, containers, etc.) by scheduling both inbound and outbound shipments and constantly monitoring them to make sure products arrive on time. Execute a comprehensive global logistics plan across Alto-Shaam’s domestic and international operations, overseeing all aspects related to global deliveries including transportation, satellite warehousing, and customs clearance; aiming to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of products to customers worldwide. This role requires leading an efficient and effective finished goods shipping team.  This role also requires cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment to delivering a delightful customer experience that ships on time to our committed ship dates and best meets our customer’s request dates.The ideal candidate for a Manager of Global Logistics and Shipping would be able to do the following:Ensure logistical inbound and outbound processes are running smoothly worldwide.Lead and mentor the finished goods and small parcel shipping teams, fostering a culture of accountability that aligns with our company’s purpose, mission and values.Analyze and resolve work problems by assisting employees through training and engagement in company problem solving processes and tools.Identify opportunities for global logistic improvements, related to team training and development, continuous process improvement (CI), carrier partnerships, routes, travel times, delivery reliability, and cost optimization.Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure on time delivery promises are met by meeting with functional leaders to identify logistic improvements to increase productivity levels across the organization.Develop and monitor KPIs to assess our shipping team and carrier performance.Build and maintain relationships with satellite warehouses, transportation companies, customs brokers and other logistic partners to ensure alignment to Alto-Shaam’s brand image and customer experience expectation for a seamless delivery of goods.Ensure worldwide compliance with local regulations, customs requirements, international trade regulations, including U.S. Customs, USMCA, and other applicable import/export laws.Work collaboratively with sales, procurement, product development, engineering, operations, and other functions to ensure smooth integration of logistic processes with overall business strategies.  Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the global deliveries, such as natural disasters, political instability, or trade restrictions.
