Position: CAD Draftsman, off-site, Independent Contractor or Employee
Blacks Outsourcing is growing again! Seeking to hire remote part-time to full-time drafters who can produce detailed and accurate drawings for customer approval and the manufacturing production of architectural woodwork, custom cabinetry and millwork, retail fixtures. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail oriented, time efficient and would work well under tight timelines and demanding customer requests. This individual will work with AutoCAD and/or Inventor to produce shop drawings based on customer concepts and architectural design intent.
Qualifications (Required):
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
- Experience with Autocad in a professional environment (4+ years)
- Experience with Inventor in a professional environment (4+ years) is a plus
- Experience with drafting of technical and architectural manufacturing shop drawings
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Qualifications (Preferred):
- Demonstrated proficiency in the latest AutoCAD package.
- CAD station and a licensed copy of Autodesk Light or Inventor/Autocad 2020.
- A fast and reliable internet connection.
- Well rounded knowledge of cabinet building, joinery, and assembly methods.
- Knowledge of cabinet hardware availability, methods and areas of application.
- Detail orientation with strong math and problem solving skills.
- Capability of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
- The skills and ability to quickly produce detailed cabinet shop drawings.
- Revit, Microvellum, Cabinet Vision, Solid Works and/or CNC knowledge is a plus!
