We build animal enclosures, cages, and metal structures. Individuals in this position spend their time working on construction drawings under little to no supervision. They will also be required to conduct on-site assessments and occasionally help with installations as needed. Traveling to project sites will be required. Field documentation experience is expected.
The job duties of this position are:
Meet with architects and contractors that typically specify and buy the products we specialize in to identify upcoming projects to track and position us properly for successful bidding.
Prepare shop drawings using AutoCAD
The ideal candidate will be outgoing and self-motivated, have an understanding of architecture and architectural materials, and have worked in the construction industry for at least 3-5 years. This person will be able to read architectural drawings and perform takeoffs. This person will have a history of successful sales, architectural design, shop drawings, and/or project management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Proven experience as an architect
- Proficiency in CAD software for architectural design (Revit, AutoCAD)
- Knowledge of 3D modeling software (3ds Max, Rhinoceros 3D) for visualizations
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and zoning requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Business development skills to attract new clients and projects
- Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate construction documents```
