ROLE SUMMARYThe Aug Prep Chief of Schools - North Campus will be stepping into the opportunity to lead the development of Aug Prep’s second campus (launching summer 2026). As the “face” of the school, the Chief of Schools will model organizational and spiritual excellence while leading the campus community.RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARYAs the new campus launches, the Chief of Schools - North Campus will recruit, develop and retain a strong and Christ-centered staff and develop and lead a student and school community culture that equips students to grow and flourish not only while at Aug Prep but long-after they graduate.REPORTING STRUCTURE:Reporting to the School President, the Chief of Schools - North Campus is the senior leader overseeing the North Campus launch and continued operations – instructionally, culturally, and operationally. Upon hiring, this role will work to hire the founding North Campus principal. Over time, the Chief of Schools - North Campus will supervise the North Campus principals (high school, middle school, elementary school).WHAT TO EXPECT:The Chief of Schools - North Campus will turn a dream into reality. Quickly absorbing the key facets of Aug Prep culture and practices, he/she will tweak this model to most effectively serve the North Campus community. In their first year, the Chief of Schools - North Campus will be a visible member of the North Shore and Northside Milwaukee community, meeting with families to understand their needs and building trust and partnerships with businesses, government officials, and local institutions. Simultaneously planning and executing, this role will need to display visionary leadership while rolling up their sleeves and “getting it done.” A successful candidate will build the foundation to launch an outstanding school in 2026 including hiring staff, recruiting families, and creating community buy-in.The first year will be a combination of knocking out short-term “must dos” while laying a strong foundation for the future. In their first year, the Chief of Schools will be a visible leader externally while partnering closely with Aug Prep’s behind-the-scenes operational teams to execute successful hiring, recruiting, student recruitment/enrollment, and other processes. In the first operational year of the new campus (2026-27), with about 300 students, the Chief of Schools - North Campus will serve as the principal of either the K-8 school or the high school, with a second principal they manage to support the other (K-8 or high school). Long-term, the Chief of Schools will lead and manage three principals (elementary, middle and high school) as the campus grows to serve 2,000 students.QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: A belief in the God-given ability of every child and a commitment to ensure excellence and opportunities for Aug Prep students. A living faith in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Alignment and commitment to the values, beliefs, and culture of Aug Prep with a desire to shine the love and light of Jesus in and through their work. Participating member in a local Church. 7+ years of experience in an education leadership role: principal, assistant head or head of school. Advanced degree, preferably in education. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences. A results-oriented, entrepreneurial, and dynamic leader with a commitment to serving the whole child with excellence – mind, body and soul. Experience balancing academics, faith, arts, and athletics while embracing new and innovative ways to build and grow the campus and organization. Strong experience and track-record building teams, developing people, and recruiting/retaining strong teachers and staff. Skilled in strategic planning, project management, organization development, and team development; able to balance a focus on big picture priorities while not losing sight of the annual goals and objectives. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with team, parents, and the community. Ability to quickly and efficiently fund solutions to problems and diffuse difficult situations. Excels at building relationships and networks; positively influences others to achieve outcomes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and make data-driven decisions. High level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information with utmost discretion. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
