Job Descriptions:Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee seeks a dynamic individual focused on assisting marketing and communications efforts. This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual interested in learning more about content production, digital and traditional marketing, public relations and storytelling. This internship offers exciting hands-on experience and the opportunity to gain new skills as an effective marketer on behalf of a large nonprofit agency.Responsibilities: Some of the tasks include, but are not limited to:
Visiting Boys & Girls Clubs locations to capture photos and videos of summer activities
Producing written content for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee website, email marketing and social media channels
Communicating with Clubs staff and youth to harvest stories
Preparing campaign and general social media-related reports to optimize content
Assist in drafting other marketing content as required
Required Experience:
Completed or working toward a college degree, preferably with an interest in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field.
Must have excellent computer skills and familiarity with available tools & platforms in the social media space.
Professional demeanor and outstanding phone etiquette.
Ability to communicate in a highly professional manner with public.
Demonstrated knowledge of AP writing style.
Self-motivated, excellent organizational & interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, superior abilities to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Enthusiasm for the mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs.
Must be able to travel to and from Boys & Girls Clubs locations in the Milwaukee area.
Must be a collegiate member of the Graduation Plus program at Boys & Girls Clubs.
