Accurately projecting the cost of upcoming projects. Responsible for conceptual, definitive, man-hour, and equipment factored total installed cost estimates. Duties may also include preparing economic cost studies, cash flows, and contingency analyses.This role is for current/former HNTB Interns only.What You’ll Do:

Analyzes bid and design documents to perform quantity takeoffs to support labor, equipment, and material cost development.

Estimates labor, material and equipment costs of construction based on design drawings and specifications.

Collects construction cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors.

Gathers and utilizes industry data/publications for estimating purposes.

Uses estimating software to support the development of cost estimates with guidance from lead/senior estimators.

Creates cost models for cost estimating elements.

Supports the preparation of independent cost estimates as part of change management, claims analysis, and price negotiations.

What You’ll Need:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field, or

In lieu of education, 4 years relevant experience with the development of cost estimates

What We Prefer:

College coursework or equivalent technical coursework in design drawings and specifications reading, quantity take offs and cost estimating fundamentals
