Come join our growing team that supports private investment applications in the Managed Investments division. We are seeking a strong senior software engineer skilled in JavaScript and Python with experience integrating vendor software and building integrations. You will build and support systems used by NM Capital (our private investment team), so you should have experience with investments or a strong desire to learn more about this highly exciting field.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates technical leadership to team.
  • Establishes, aggregates, and shares technical team standards and standard methodologies within department.
  • Applies working relationships across teams within their division.
  • Understand business requirements, provides solutions to system-wide architectural problems and implements software solutions with highest quality.
  • Applies engineering standard methodologies in order to analyze and develop software solutions. Ability to work using agile methodology.
  • Develops software using established development and continuous integration practices. Deploy code to production.
  • Conducts code evaluations process.


Qualifications:
  • 4-5 years professional experience required
  • 3-5 years professional production application development or programming with multiple languages and frameworks (incl. OOO concepts) required
  • At least 1-3 year of application development or programming experience in Python or Java or or JavaScript or React.
  • At least 1-3 year of experience in SQL or other query languages along with a firm understanding of relational database concepts.
  • Production experience in API development, Microservices development, AWS or Azure, CI/CD, Containerization, Kubernetes, deployment concepts is a plus
  • Production experience with Snowflake or other cloud data technologies is a plus
  • Experience with Vendor platforms implementations and customizations is a plus
  • Experience with Test driven development is a plus
  • Understanding of Investment management business domain is a plus
  • Proven critical thinking, ownership approach and continuous learning
  • Experience developing solutions using agile methods
  • Mentor the team and department
  • Advanced skills in one or more technical platforms
  • Capable of presenting between product, engineering, and the business
  • Manages own time to meet objectives
  • Ability to perform peer reviews on code and design
  • Proven understanding of design patterns and architecture
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Compensation Range:

Pay Range - Start:

$97,930.00

Pay Range - End:

$139,900.00
