Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Java and Javascript while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
Assist in troubleshooting and debugging issues, performing root cause analysis, and providing timely solutions to production problems.
Work to implement data pipelines (ETLs) in order to integrate data from a variety of sources into Indeed’s Data Warehouse
Participate in code and design reviews in the team to maintain high-quality standards
Work closely with product managers and collaborators to align software solutions with business needs
Communicate concisely with product managers, and other engineers on the team
Skills/Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
5+ years of work experience in software programming. Experience must include at least one of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, C, C#, Python, Go, or Scala
Solid knowledge of data structures & algorithms and excellent programming skills
Proven experience in Web application development, REST APIs, high performing, high volume transaction processing
Proven experience in high volume Web application development with frontend expertise (responsive Web UI, javascript, UI frameworks, etc.)
Deep understanding of best engineering practices for the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code review, source control, build, test, deploy, and operations
Knowledge of databases, both SQL and NoSQL
Detail-oriented, capable of researching alternative solutions and outlining proposals with evidence
Passionate about your work and the problems you solve
Ability to work efficiently on a remote/distributed team
A general knowledge of AWS and running applications in the cloud is a plus
