Traffic Management Center Operations Lead

AECOM is seeking a Traffic Management Center Operations Lead to be based in Milwaukee, WI.ResponsibilitiesPrimary oversight of all aspects of video archiving and distribution to include:Fulfilling all requests for video and other control room records requests in accordance with client policies and procedures and WI Open Records law.Managing and maintaining Video Archive and Request database to include data gathering and identifying opportunities for improvement.Auditing of video archive and request accuracy. Coordinating with shift supervisors and management to ensure accuracy and procedural compliance.Providing training on video archiving and request procedures to control room staff.Coordinate with client management and divisions to ensure requests are fulfilled appropriately.Maintaining Video Distribution folder in Box.Identifying videos that can be used for training purposes or by other client program areas and maintaining repository for those videos.Create video compilations for use by client. Editing videos as needed.Monitoring email accounts for requests for video.Maintaining prompt and professional communication with all requestors via email, phone, etc.Coordinating with client management on video hold requests.Maintaining ‘permanent hold’ folder for videos that have received litigation hold requests. This includes maintaining video and correspondence.Providing testimony in court on behalf of client for any subpoenas related to video requests and / or distribution.Control Room Staff SchedulingDevelop monthly control room staff schedules in coordination with AECOM TMC operations manager and shift supervisors using online scheduling tool.Ensure appropriate control room coverage levels are met in accordance with operational needs, contract, and client expectations.Monitor special event calendar and weather forecasts and adjust staffing levels as needed to support heightened operations.Develop and recommend new ideas for control room schedules in partnership with client and AECOM management.Maintain PTO request calendar and PTO requests.Participate in interviewing and hiring process to include:Coordinating with AECOM TMC operations manager on opening of requisitions for new / replacement positions.Review applicants and coordinate with AECOM TMC manager and shift supervisors to identify candidates for interview.Coordinate with AECOM talent acquisition team to schedule candidate interviews.Participate in initial candidate interviews. Make recommendations to TMC operations manager for candidates to move forward.Identify other avenues for candidate recruitment (job services, colleges, etc.) and coordinate with them on posting positions and candidate recruitment.Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) MaintenanceAttend and participate in monthly ITS maintenance meeting.Review service requests and work orders to maintain accuracy and procedural compliance.Act as liaison between control room team and IT / ITS maintenance staff on device and systems issues.Request new asset management system accounts for control room staff and provide training to new employees.Provide regular communication to control room staff on the status of device repairs, new devices, device replacement, etc.Maintain device status notes in the Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS)Maintain list of contractor-maintained signals in asset management system.Additional ResponsibilitiesAssist with TMC management and supervisory coverage to support vacations, sick calls, etc. and act as supervisor on-duty / on-call.Participate in and represent client and TMC in meetings, trainings, exercises as requested by management. Present at meetings as requested.Maintain email distribution lists.Assist with development of and updating of control room Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Identify operational inefficiencies and/or areas for improvement within the control room. Coordinate with client and AECOM management to support implementation.Assist with completing operational audits, as needed.Assist TMC operations manager with providing regular updates to on-site TMC staff.Become Flex Lane certified. Maintain Flex Lane certification and provide Flex Lane coverage and support as needed.Become and maintain AECOM Certified Trainer certification.Ordering staff uniformsOrdering uniforms for new control room staff and replacement uniform items. Creating expense reports for uniform orders.Maintaining ‘storefront’ for non-AECOM uniform / merchandise orders.Maintaining spare uniform inventory.Maintaining relationships with uniform vendor.
