The organization supports the academic and strategic objectives of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with commitment and pride in everything they do.Job Summary Performs diagnosis, maintenance and repairs to automotive vehicles, small engines, and grounds keeping/snow removal equipment to ensure effective functioning of institutional vehicles and equipment. Supports other areas of Buildings & Grounds with various tasks including but not limited to snow removal, grounds projects and moving furniture/equipment as required. Hours may include nights, weekends, or holidays.This position is not eligible for hybrid work and requires 100% onsite work. Minimum Qualifications

Must possess a valid Wisconsin Driver License and be able to meet or exceed the minimum requirements for driving on state business as described here: https://uwm.edu/risk-management/drivers/

Available to work overtime (including nights, weekends, or holidays) in response to weather conditions or special events

Minimum of two years of experience, education or a combination of education and experience in small engine repair

Minimum of two years of experience, education or a combination of education and experience in vehicle repair

Preferred Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent

Experience with maintenance and repairs on Bobcat equipment

Experience with maintenance and repairs on Kubota equipment

Target Salary Range $20.00 - $22.00/hour (Final salary will be determined based on candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity.)
