Saz's State House restaurant, rounding out its 42nd year in business, is looking for the right Dr. Spock, Catherine Willows or Mr. Smee to join our management team.

As Assistant General Manager, the right candidate will have a variety of responsibilities helping to helm the State House ship. This full time role will operate from Saz's State House on 55th and State. No two days will be the same, but the list below gives a general idea of the positions primary focus, along with providing unexpectedly, over-the-top amazing service every day.

Partner with General Manager to train and manage FOH service staff.

Ensure consistent delivery of products and service consistent with Saz's Hospitality Group standards of procedure, quality, policy and within budget.

Work closely will all management staff and ownership; ensure open lines of communication between FOH and BOH teams.

Proactively address improvement opportunities.

Monitor quality and presentation of food and beverage at all times. Notify the Head Chef and/or General Manager about concerns, complaints or problems.

Plan and execute strategies that facilitate the growth and improvement of Saz's State House and the SHG brand.

Additional, functional tasks will support and execute these goals, and the evolving priorities of the team and restaurant.

Recent restaurant management experience in a high volume outlet

Strong organizational and time management skills

Demonstrated leadership focused on building a top-notch team and upholding food quality standards

Ability to work proactively and independently while leading a team

Above average computer skills

Must possess a "guest first" mentality in all interactions and operations

Essential job functions include the abilities listed below:

Stand and/or walk up to 14 hours at a time

Climb stairs carrying items up to 30 lbs

Lift up to 50 lbs to chest level

Communicate verbally and in writing in English

Operate a computer to access the internet and work within a variety of software programs
