Aggie's Bakery & Cake Shop is looking for a Baker to assist with daily production of baked goods at our shop in Downtown West Allis.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Lead Baker in the preparation and production of products by company specifications and instructions in the required time frame
- Prepare different cakes, dough and mixtures according to production recipes with & without supervision
- Fill and maintain inventory
Assist and help in inventory-taking and ordering
- Return materials and ingredients to the correct place when done
The Ideal Candidate will:
- Have previous baking experience in a commercial kitchen (i.e. school or a previous job)
- Have the ability to use large ovens, production guides, mixers, forms for bakery products, and bakery scale.
- Have the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 50lbs
- Be looking for long-term employment and like the idea of working in a family owned business
- Understand and care about product quality (this is the cornerstone of our business!)
- Be able to work independently without constant direction
- Like to work in a kitchen with others
- Know how to follow procedures and work quickly
- Have the ability to communicate verbally and understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Have the ability to multi-task while keeping a cool head
- Like to keep a clean and organized working space
Here are the shifts the position will cover:
Monday: 5:00 am - 1:30 pm
Tuesday: 5:00 am - 1:30 pm
Wednesday: OFF
Thursday: 5:00 am - 1:30 pm
Friday: 5:00 am - 1:30 pm
Saturday: 5:00 am - 1:30 pm (Candidate will work Saturday OR Sunday - not both)
Sunday: 5:00 am - 1:30 pm (Candidate will work Saturday OR Sunday - not both)
$16 per hour (after 60 day training pay of $15 per hour)
