Braise Restaurant is now hiring for the Role of Chef de Cuisine.
This person will play an integral role in the direction of the restaurant. The successful candidate will have a passion for creating great food, a commitment to quality and the work well with others. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, managing food preparation, and ensuring high-quality culinary dishes are served.
Salary is Negotiable and Based on Experience.
Duties:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Create new menu items and recipes as well as work with Braise recipes.
- Monitor and manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards
- Oversee inventory control and ordering of supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with management to develop catering menus for special events
- Provide training and support to Front of House employees, to include menu knowledge and how to meet dietary needs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
- Proficient in kitchen management, inventory control, and food production
- Ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
