Belmae Farm is looking to bring on a farm crew member to assist in the day to day tasks of our regenerative livestock operation. We hope to bring on someone who is interested in growing with us.
At present the position requires 3-4 hours of work/day, 5 days/week.
During Grazing Off Season (roughly October/November-May):
tasks vary each day, but include sorting/prep for breeding, feeding and watering, bale grazing, fencing, moving stock, mucking barnyard, general observation flock health
During Grazing Season (roughly June-September/October):
tasks vary each day, but include rotational grazing management (daily moving of stock, electric fence, stock tanks, and shade structure) and grazing monitoring (pasture ecosystem observation and record keeping)
As beginning farmers (<10 years farming) this position is open to all levels of experience.
Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Belmae Farm is small family run regenerative livestock operation and event venue. We raise sheep for meat and wool using rotational grazing practices to steward our diverse land base of planted pasturelands, forests, wetlands, and prairie.
