A locally owned café is looking for a professional line cook who can prepare meals as per our standard recipes. A successful candidate will be responsible for creating menu items in a fast-paced environment and keeping their workstation sanitary and stocked. We are seeking an individual who has experience in the food service industry and is committed to impeccable food presentation and garnishing, which is important for impressing our guests and creating repeat business. Candidates should have professional kitchen experience, including working a hot line and grill.
Responsibilities
Cooking and preparing all menu items in accordance standards set by the Chef
Stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food on the line
Food preparation and portioning prior to service
Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
Ability to lift 60 lbs and stand for long periods of time
Qualifications
Experience in full service restaurant is desired
Understanding of cooking methods, ingredients and equipment
Solid references
