Responsibilities:
- Provide care and support to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Implement behavior support plans and strategies
- Engage in social activities and outings with clients
- Administer medication and perform basic first aid when necessary
- Collaborate with social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of clients
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Prepare meals according to dietary needs and restrictions
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for transporting clients to appointments or activities
- Ability to lift and assist with transferring individuals who may have limited mobility
- First aid certification is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility in scheduling, as caregiving may require working evenings, weekends, or holidays
