Job Title: Dental Front Desk & Insurance Coordinator

Our dynamic, fun, and thriving private practice is looking for another front desk team member to replace a soon-to-be retiree!
We’re committed to delivering a warm and welcoming experience for our patients, and you will have the support of 2 dentists who are dedicated to the highest level of quality patient care. We are seeking someone who enjoys working with people, is team-oriented, knowledgeable about dental insurance, and comfortable discussing/collecting finances. Our front desk position is full time and offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, and other perks. Experience with Dentrix patient management software is a huge plus, and solid IT/computer skills are a must.
This position is full time, for 31.5 hours on paper, but closer to 34 actual worked hours when starting 15 minutes prior to the actual office hours below:
Monday: 8am - 6pm (9 hours + 1 hour lunch)
Tuesday: 7:30am - 5:30pm (9 hours + 1 hour lunch)
Wednesday: 10am - 6:30pm (7.5 hours + 1 hour lunch)
Thursday: OFF
Friday: 8am - 2pm (6 hours, no lunch)

Duties are generally split between our front desk team members. General tasks may include:
Update insurance information - confirm appointments not confirmed by our automated software - respond to patient emails and texts using GSuite &/or Modento/Dental Intelligence - Check patients in - Check patients out - Generate financial treatment plan estimates and present them to patients - Scan in various documents for patient’s charts - Print & review route slips - Answer phones - Review the schedule to ensure new patients have all paperwork completed prior to their visit - Verify that insurance has not been terminated or maxed before patient appointments - Collect and enter patient payments - Fill last minute opening in the schedule - Enter pre-estimates and follow up with patients to schedule treatment - Work 90 day insurance report to investigate why a claim may not have been paid and follow through to ensure payment - Document specialist letters and treatment - Collections follow up texts & calls - Entering insurance payments - Schedule appointments
