A veterinary clinic in Glendale, Wisconsin is looking to hire a full-time veterinary assistant and receptionist. We are looking for a full-time person who is friendly, outgoing, articulate, and reliable.
All applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, impeccable customer service, a positive and professional attitude, and the ability to learn quickly. Direct experience is preferred, but applicants with a background in customer service, animal handling, or human healthcare are encouraged to apply.
Communicating with our highly educated clients requires a well-spoken person. Educating pet owners on the telephone and in person about pet health care is a daily routine. Nursing duties involve pet restraint during the doctor's examinations and being a surgical assistant. You must like working with others and independently. Answering phones, prepping and assisting with appointments, client relations, and cleaning are daily parts to this position. Training for this job will be started ASAP as it will take months of hands-on learning.
Applicants must be able to lift 50 pounds, have reliable transportation, and live within 30 driving minutes of Glendale, WI (53209). We are offering 37-40 hours per week with four 9.5/10 hour shifts. These shifts will be during weekdays between 8 am- 6 pm (M, T or TH, F) and 8 am- 7pm (W). We are closed on holidays and weekends. This position gets paid time off and sick pay. We can also offer a monthly stipend towards health insurance.
