Duties
Lead and coordinate daily cleaning activities across multiple areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and specialized spaces such as kitchens or laundry rooms.
Supervise and motivate cleaning staff to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and on schedule.
Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and company standards.
Conduct regular inspections to verify quality of work and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Manage supplies inventory, order cleaning materials as needed, and maintain equipment in optimal condition.
Develop work schedules that optimize staffing levels while meeting operational demands.
Enforce safety procedures to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment for all team members.
Communicate effectively with management regarding team performance, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities.
Assist with specialized cleaning tasks such as deep cleans, carpet shampooing, window washing, or laundry services when required.
Support the onboarding process for new hires by providing guidance on job responsibilities and expectations.
Qualifications
Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within commercial or hospitality environments.
Demonstrated supervising or leadership experience in cleaning or housekeeping teams.
Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and safety standards related to custodial work.
Experience managing inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment maintenance.
Familiarity with hotel or hospitality industry standards is a plus.
