Gorman & Company is looking for a full time Maintenance Technician to work with our team at several of our apartment communities in the Milwaukee area. As a Maintenance Technician, you will have the opportunity to maintain the community in a safe, attractive, and comfortable condition for our residents.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will:
1) Satisfy service requests such as light electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, HVAC/PTAC maintenance, etc.
2) Prepare apartments for turn-over, may include painting, appliance repair/replacement, plumbing, lock changes, etc.
3) Manage curb appeal by inspecting grounds and buildings.
4) Assist with snow removal on driveways, sidewalks, and outside of office as needed.
5) Complete on-call emergency maintenance as needed.
Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
1) Must have your own vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
2) Previous maintenance experience required.
3) Excellent mechanical aptitude and experience in servicing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing a variety of items such as electrical, plumbing, drywall, carpentry, standard appliances.
4) Must be able to read work orders / service requests.
5) Good safety habits.
6) Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
