Mechanical Assembly Technician
We have an immediate opening for an experienced and motivated Mechanic to join our team in South Milwaukee, WI. We are seeking an individual with a mechanical mindset and the ability to work well with others.
Major job duties and responsibilities:
- Assembly of OEM large scale agriculture equipment.
- Prepare sub-assemblies.
- Follow instructions.
- Engage in problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform in-process quality inspections.
- Adhere to general housekeeping requirements.
- Receive inventory and perform inbound inspection.
Mechanical Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification preferred.
- Knowledge of lockout/tag out and general safety in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Understanding measurements and basic math.
- Proficiency in standard measuring.
- Experience with data entry and basic computer skills.
- Detail oriented with good multitasking skills.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, twist, bend, reach with arms and hands, handle, grasp up to 50 lbs.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with the use of hand and power tools.
- Electrical and hydraulic experience is a plus.
