Wicked Alley is a funky and fun basement vintage and secondhand clothing boutique in the Historic Third Ward located in downtown Milwaukee, WI.
Role Description:
This is a part-time on-site role located in Milwaukee, WI for a Sales Associate/Cashier at Wicked Alley. The Sales Associate/Cashier will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions, and restocking merchandise as necessary. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store and assisting with inventory management.
Sales Associates are also key-holders and will be required to open or close the store as necessary, being punctual and maintaining a positive attitude/environment is a must. This is a great side gig for a creative person or someone who loves vintage fashion. Training would start near the end of the month alongside the store owner until you feel comfortable working on your own.
Qualifications:
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Prior experience in retail or customer service is preferred, especially with the Square POS.
-Basic mathematical skills and ability to handle cash transactions.
-Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
-Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
-High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
-Interest in fashion, music and the arts.
-Must be able to commute and handle parking in the Third Ward if necessary. There is longer term street parking a few blocks away or reasonably priced lots within a couple blocks.
-Punctual opening is a necessity! Showing up a few minutes early to open on time is highly encouraged.
-Available Thursday - Sunday 11am-6pm as needed, these are broken into morning and afternoon shifts, usually 11-3 and 2-6, with some overlap during the busier months.
-Total hours per week available vary from 12-15 hours at a starting rate of $15 per hour with the potential for growth if you're a good fit.
-Also willing to help out with quarterly gallery nights, when needed, which are from 5-9pm on Fridays every three months or so.
