We are a team of diverse and cross-functional product managers, business analysts and software engineers. Our work is essential in supporting our Finance (GL/Tax/Financial Reporting), Corporate Audit & Anti-fraud, Sourcing & Procurement, and Financial Planning & Analytics practices.
As a member of our engineering team, you will be finding innovative ways to develop resilient, sustainable, secure, scalable solutions to create an exemplary experience for our user base while being on a highly collaborative team that utilizes agile practices. As part of the test-centric software engineering culture, we are looking for a software engineer with JavaScript experience and a passion for writing testable code for the role of Senior Software Engineer. We are on the lookout for someone who understands full stack solutions, can play vital part in designing API Infrastructure, is highly collaborative and can share ideas to help shape the future of our financial organization.
What you will do:
Collaborate with an engineering Scrum team, providing purpose, motivation, and alignment with objectives established by senior leadership.
Self-Motivated and comfortable prioritizing workload with minimal supervision while demonstrating strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ensure high standard of reliability, performance and production stability in applications and services owned and supported by the team.
Contributes to refinement of features allocated to the team, as well as solution definition and decomposition into stories for the team.
Remain focused in order to overcome challenges and ensure features are completed and deployed by dates committed to in quarterly Program Increment (PI) planning.
Finds opportunities for continuous improvement and owns initiatives that help the team improve.
Engage and help establish an inclusive culture within the team, models what we value and behaviors, and encourages collaboration and respect for diverse perspectives.
Open to mentoring and coaching opportunities in technical and soft skills, with a hunger to grow.
Experience Wishlist:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
3-5 years of professional software development experience required.
Experience with Javascript (React, NodeJS) in a production setting.
Demonstrated experience working with ETL (extract, transform, load) tools like Apache NiFi, Kafka or AWS Glue.
Proficient in practices such as Domain Data Modeling and API-first design.
Capable of effectively communicating with product, engineering, and business partners, including proven ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences in varying forms and levels of detail.
This role can be 100% remote.
