Job Type: Full or Part-Time
Pay Range: $18.00 to $24.00 per hour
Schedule: 20 – 55 Hrs Week / Sat 7:30-12:00
Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and organized Customer Service Representative / Service Writer to join our automotive repair team. This role is the first point of contact for our customers and plays a vital part in ensuring a smooth and professional experience from drop-off to pick-up. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic automotive knowledge, and a commitment to providing top-notch customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers in person and over the phone in a professional and courteous manner
Schedule service appointments and manage the daily calendar
Accurately write repair orders based on customer concerns
Communicate with technicians to gather information on diagnostics and repairs
Explain repairs, estimates, and services to customers clearly and honestly
Obtain necessary approvals for work orders and additional services
Maintain and update customer records in the system
Process payments and handle billing and invoicing
Follow up with customers regarding service progress and satisfaction
Maintain a clean and organized front office and waiting area
Assist with parts ordering and entering invoices, and returns when necessary
Maintain sales area
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Previous experience, 1 + years, in automotive service writing or customer service (preferred)
Basic understanding of automotive systems and repair terminology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong computer and data entry skills (experience with shop management software is a plus)
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused
