Civil Engineering Technician - Construction

Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will provide transportation construction engineering support in the Northeast and/or North Central Regions of Wisconsin by performing construction observation tasks, conducting inspections, and performing other related tasks. On any given day, you’ll:
- Perform construction observation of sanitary sewers, storm sewers, water mains, street construction including curb and gutter, asphalt pavement, concrete sidewalk and pavement.
- Maintain project records, including daily observation logs, time and materials records, and as-built drawings.
- Communicate and coordinate with project participants including project owners, project managers, contractors & materials testing laboratories.
Skills and Requirements:
- Coursework in civil engineering with associate degree desired.
- Thorough knowledge of construction techniques as they relate to civil engineering projects.
- Experience in the following areas is beneficial: construction schedules, construction inspection, construction plans, estimating, FieldManager or AASTHOWare, AutoCAD Civil3D.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
